A Green Hills associate role, a Franklin mixed-animal opening and a Murfreesboro medical director search need different briefs. Start with the hospital address, clinical resources and schedule, then agree the search with BEGHR.
Specify independent procedures, appointment capacity and doctor overlap. If recruiting a new graduate, name the mentor and protect teaching time in the schedule.
Plan an associate search →Define the discipline, required credentials, shift pattern and resources already available. Explain referral communication, overnight staffing and inpatient handover.
Scope a specialist role →List the hospitals and decision authority. Separate clinical workload from protected time for coaching, clinical standards, team development and site visits.
Define a medical director role →Use the actual work address, the municipality, the county and any additional facilities. Do not present a Lebanon, Franklin or Murfreesboro vacancy as interchangeable with a hospital in Davidson County. A rotating role should state whether movement between sites happens between working days or during a clinical shift.
Choose the clinical and operational interviewers, confirm the employer-approved package and identify who can authorize an offer. Use the same role-related criteria for every candidate and give one person responsibility for feedback. Review the hiring brief and candidate scorecard before outreach.
This is permanent placement for employers. Your practice hires the selected candidate directly. An immediate relief shift needs a separate arrangement; this service does not promise a locum available today. Job seekers can start with BEGHR’s veterinary placement page; the pricing form here is for employer inquiries.
Use the Tennessee Department of Health license verification for the relevant professional record. Tennessee licenses veterinarians through the Board of Veterinary Medical Examiners within the Department of Health, and the Board’s rules list the North American Veterinary Licensing Examination among the qualifications. Assign a person to verify license status, record the date and resolve questions with the Board. Tennessee’s technician credential is the licensed veterinary medical technician, so check that title when a role depends on technician delegation. Check any specialty credentials required by the employer with the issuing organization.
For a candidate moving from another state, review the Tennessee Board of Veterinary Medical Examiners applications and rules page. Do not treat an out-of-state license or a preferred start date as confirmation that Tennessee requirements are satisfied. The Board determines eligibility and timing; BEGHR does not issue licenses. Check the Board’s current application page for any requirement beyond the national examination.
For the rules and a related Board policy, see the Board’s Chapter 1730 rules and the Board’s continuing education policy.

Veterinary recruitment coverage
A Nashville veterinary search works best when the hospital address comes before the neighborhood or city label. Nashville is a consolidated Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, and the Williamson, Rutherford, Sumner and Wilson county cities around it have their own governments. Business Executive Group uses the employer’s role, schedule and location to scope a permanent search.
Name the street address, the municipality and the county. East Nashville, The Gulch, Germantown, 12South, Green Hills, Bellevue, Antioch, Donelson, Hermitage and Madison are Nashville communities inside Davidson County, while Belle Meade, Berry Hill, Forest Hills, Goodlettsville and Oak Hill are separate cities within it. Coverage on this site is limited to Tennessee; a hospital in Kentucky falls under a different state licensing authority.
Nashville is the Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, and Metro Planning states that there is no definitive map of neighborhood boundaries. East Nashville, Germantown, The Gulch, 12South and Green Hills each need a street address in the brief, not a neighborhood label. When two hospitals sit in the same Metro community plan area, write a separate brief for each.
Bellevue, Antioch, Donelson, Hermitage and Madison are Nashville communities inside Davidson County, not separate cities. Metro Planning covers Donelson and Hermitage in one community plan, so name which of the two the hospital is in and list any other Metro hospital that shares the schedule.
Belle Meade, Berry Hill, Forest Hills, Goodlettsville and Oak Hill are incorporated cities with their own governments inside Davidson County, and Nashville.gov announces separate municipal elections for Belle Meade, Forest Hills and Goodlettsville. Use the municipality on the hospital’s legal address. This site has pages for Belle Meade, Berry Hill and Goodlettsville; a Forest Hills or Oak Hill employer should request an estimate and name its municipality in the brief.
Franklin, Brentwood, Nolensville and Spring Hill are Williamson County cities and towns outside Davidson County, and the Census lists Spring Hill in both Williamson and Maury counties. Put the county and municipality in every brief, and keep a Franklin, Tennessee hospital distinct from any place named Franklin in another state.
Murfreesboro, Smyrna and La Vergne are Rutherford County municipalities according to the Census. Each has its own city or town government, so state which one the hospital is in and whether any second site in the county or in Davidson County is part of the assignment.
Hendersonville and Gallatin are Sumner County cities. Goodlettsville spans Davidson and Sumner counties and is covered in the Davidson County cities group. Name the county and municipality, and say whether the role includes a second Sumner or Davidson site.
Mount Juliet and Lebanon are Wilson County cities according to the Census. Give the street address, the city and Wilson County in the brief, and do not describe the role as a Nashville assignment unless it is based at a Davidson County hospital.
